How many consultations will I need?
Unfortunately, there is no definite answer to this question. Sometimes
an immediate improvement can be achieved, but on other occasions a series
of consultations will be required. One rule of thumb - very approximate,
as with all such rules - is that, for every year you have suffered from
a particular complaint, allow a month of treatment. Often, there will be
a number of possible remedies, and it is also possible that a number of
conditions may be inter-related and may need to be resolved one-by-one.
Sometimes, the doctor will try a number of remedies with no noticeable
effect, and then - eureka! the right key is found, and a dramatic improvement
can be seen. Sometimes, of course, no improvement can be achieved, as is
true of any form of medicine.
Do I need a consultation at all?
Probably, except for simple first aid, and the
malaria and dengue prophylactics.
Charges:
Please check for current consultation fees. Payment is accepted by cash, UK
cheque, or sterling bank draft, but not by credit card. Cheques and bank drafts
should be made payable to Dr Anne Wynne-Simmons.
Can I claim on my health insurance?
Dr Wynne-Simmons is recognised by BUPA, PPP and most other medical
insurers, but different insurance schemes vary in their level of coverage.
Please check with your insurer. There will be no charge for endorsing a
claim form at the time of consultation, but a small administrative charge
will be made for handling paperwork subsequently.
Homoeopathic medicines & prophylactics:
Most medicines for attending patients can be prepared by the clinic. Re-orders
may be obtained from the clinic, or from Ainsworths
Homoeopathic Pharmacy. Certain simple remedies and prophylactics (eg preventive
tablets for malaria and dengue) may be ordered without the need for a consultation.
Remedies are sent by first-class post or airmail, unless other arrangements
are requested. Certain countries may not permit the receipt of tablets by mail,
although remedies have been sent to many countries without any difficulty being
experienced. All medicines are clearly labelled.
Correspondence
The clinic cannot undertake to answer telephone queries or e-mails, except for
existing clients and for mail order of remedies.
